VISION PLAN 2021

Forthcoming Vision Plan 2021 Resident Summits

The Vision Plan Committee would like to invite you to attend one or both of our Resident Summits. Our first one took place on Thursday February 11th at the Parish Center at 6:30 pm. The Vision Plan contributions of Mariemont's fourth graders were featured.

After a brief power point presentation an interactive discussion of 3 - 4 of the Vision Plan's 21 themes will occur. In addition, participants will be asked to rank their Top 5 Vision Plan priorities. Refreshments will be provided.
The second Resident Summit has been rescheduled for 7:00 pm at the Womens Art Club of Cincinnati - formerly known as the Resthaven Barn at 6890 Cambridge - on March 23rd. At this meeting the contributions of both high school and middle school students will be showcased. We will use the same format for this Resident Summit as the one used for the first Resident Summit. Refreshments will again be provided.

Vision Plan 2021 is intended to create a "blueprint" or "road map" for guiding the future of the Village.

We hope you will consider joining us as well as participating in the vision planning process.

What is a Vision Plan?

Looking to the Future

MPF’s Board of Trustees has a collective eye on Mariemont’s future. We are excited to share with the Village and its administrators our contributions toward a comprehensive ‘Vision Plan’ to guide future Village development and redevelopment. This plan will create a defined roadmap for future projects. It has been nearly 100 years since the original John Nolen plan for Mariemont was released. We think a Vision Plan is a wise investment for Mariemont’s next 100 years and beyond. Vision Plan Committee members David Zack, Frank Raeon, Millard Rogers and Don Keyes began work on this initiative with delivery planned for 2010.

Resolution of Support

On January 29, 2009, MPF received a resolution of support from Mariemont Village Council:

“The Council of the Village of Mariemont supports the efforts of the Mariemont Preservation Foundation to create a Vision Plan which involves Village residents, local organizations, local business people, local property owners, local public elected and appointed officials, Village Staff, local school officials, Board of Education members, students attending Mariemont schools, and, persons who live outside the Village but have an interest in being involved in helping create a long term vision for Mariemont.”

Vision Plan Questionnaire

Your participation in this questionnaire is important in gathering your opinions and responses to issues, needs, and the future of the Village of Mariemont, Ohio, as a National Exemplar of town planning and an attractive, livable community. The questionnaire should take only a few minutes to complete. When finished, click submit for MPF to receive your input.

Thank you!

1. If a plan for Mariemont’s future were developed, what issues, concerns, or needs would you want the plan to address?

2. What do you perceive are the strengths and weaknesses of Mariemont as a community?

3. Is it important to preserve and continue the town plan and architectural character as constructed? Do you feel changes can be made that modify these elements? Where?

4. What one thing could be done to improve Mariemont’s quality of life?

5. What are the future goals of your group? What is your group’s role in Mariemont’s future?

Additional Comments.
