For more than a quarter century, MPF Trustees have volunteered their time and energy to foster preservation efforts in and around the Village of Mariemont. The core mission of the organization remains intact:
“To receive and maintain funds to be used for public benefit to maintain and enhance the historic integrity of the Village, to avoid urban decay and beautify the Village, and to preserve and improve parks, playgrounds and public areas. Such activities are for the ultimate purpose of enriching the lives of citizens of Mariemont.”
Would you like to become involved in the Mariemont Preservation Foundation? We have several areas where we could use your talents:
- Archives (work under the supervision of our Archivist on various projects)
- Events (The annual Taste of Mariemont-help man one of the booths)
- Mariemont Directory (published biennially-help needed to distribute directories)
- Docent Program (train as a tour guide or presenter. We have established an education program for elementary students and need docents to give presentations on a variety of topics. We also need guides to conduct walking tours around Mariemont’s Historic District)
- Grant writing (assist in seeking major funding and writing grants)
- Website (help maintain and update our website)
- As needed
