A $1.3 Million Vision. Just $100,000 Left to Reach the Goal.
For more than a century, the historic Ferris House has stood at the gateway to Mariemont; now the gateway to the Historic District. Built between 1802 and 1812, it is Hamilton County’s oldest brick building and was the first property purchased by Mary Emery for the creation of Mariemont.
Now, a long-held vision is finally becoming a reality.
Mariemont Preservation Foundation has undertaken a $1.3 million project to rehabilitate the historic Ferris House and transform it into the Mariemont Museum. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we are now just $100,000 away from reaching our goal and opening the museum to the community at the Museum’s grand opening in July 2027.
The Mariemont Museum will be a place where visitors can explore the stories of Mary Emery, the Mariemont Company, the early settlers including the Ferris and Stites families, and the Indigenous history of this area. The museum will also provide educational programming, exhibit space, and access to Mariemont’s historical archives.
