MPF Tree Planting Project

$1,500 of $10,000 raised

Please donate to the Mariemont Street Tree Project.

Mariemont Trees are one of the things that make Mariemont special and they are valued as Historical Assets of the Village.

Recognized for an exemplary dedication to trees and the annual Arbor Day observation and proclamation, the Village of Mariemont has received its 32nd “Tree City USA” award and its 5th Tree City Growth award.

One hundred years ago, famed Town Planner and renowned Landscape Architect, John Nolen, specified an extensive quantity and broad variety of trees to complete his plan. Naturally, an aging tree canopy requires
continual pruning, removals from storm damage/disease/age, and replanting.

In 2018, the MPF formed the Street Tree Committee and founded the MPF Tree Fund with a $10,000 donation.

In 2021, the Tree Advisory Board was officially established and has since developed a Master Planting Plan for the Village with consideration of tree selections by John Nolen.

From 2018-2022 and with private donations, a total of 83 street trees at a cost of $13,694.38 have been planted with a supportive maintenance plan to ensure each tree success.

We are stewards of a robust tree canopy for future generations!
